This was a large church located in the heart of District 66. JRS became involved after responding to requests for bids. However, upon inspection, JRS representatives found evidence of widespread hail damage on the existing wood shakes. Initially the carrier denied coverage, as the loss actually occurred during an earlier policy period and the insured had since changed providers. However, JRS and third-parties were able to obtain coverage that included a complete roof replacement.
Coverage. Loss occurred during prior policy period.
Steep. Facility included large sections of a 15/12 pitch sanctuary.
Tenant Occupation. Large sections of the building were used as a daycare facility, which had to remain open. With children on site, extra precautions had to be taken to fence off areas and keep the grounds free to hazards.
